The TM9K TAC is the successor to the well-known and popular TM9K from Nitecore. As with its predecessor, the TM9K TAC also has a built-in Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 5000mAh. The battery is charged via a USB-C port integrated in the lamp head. This means no extra charger is necessary. This integrated charger delivers a charging performance that charges the battery to approximately 80% in less than 2 hours.
The Nitecore TM9K TAC achieves a maximum output of 9800 lumens with a beam range of 280 meters. The attached tactical ring cannot be removed. The TM9K TAC is operated via two switches, both of which are located on the end cap. The main switch is used to turn the lamp on and off and to activate the momentary light function.
The mode switch is used to switch through the five different modes + the strobe mode. This is also equipped with a mode memory function. This is particularly interesting for tactical use, as the last used light mode is saved and the lamp lights up in exactly this mode after switching it off and on again. Turbo mode can also be accessed immediately using the mode switch. To protect the Nitecore TM9K TAC from unwanted activation, it is equipped with a lockout function.
A constantly switched lighting electronics, which ensures that the lamp shines continuously, as well as a temperature control, which regulates the lighting output of the lamp as soon as the housing becomes too warm, enables problem-free long-term use.
