Suitable for both low visibility operations and fast attacks, the Salomon X Ultra Forces MID GTX shoe combines the agility of a trail running shoe with the stability of a lightweight hiking shoe. Equipped with an Advanced Chassis that provides lateral support and prevents punctures underfoot, the shoe is protective without compromising freedom of movement.
The upper material must be robust and very flexible. To meet these requirements, a non-reflective material mix of anti-distribution mesh, PU synthetic leather and single-layer mesh was chosen. The GORE-TEX® membrane underneath makes the boot an ideal companion in any weather. The SensiFitTM system wraps the foot from the midsole to the lacing system and ensures a secure, precise and almost individual fit. The inside of the shoe is reinforced with an additional material to support climbing and fast rappelling.
The performance and stability of the sole construction play a crucial role in off-road conditions. The Contagrip® Chevron Lugs outsole, the Advanced Chassis™ and the puncture-resistant Enigma Zero HT2 insole combine to provide an optimal answer to all requirements. An OrthoLite® insole ensures a comfortable fit and additional cushioning in the shoe, while perforations in the sole support a pleasant foot climate.
