As the name suggests, the ASP Tri-Fold Lightweight Disposable Life Jacket's straps fold in three places for ultra-compact storage on a belt or vest. When deployed, they provide wide, open loops for quick and easy application. They are perfect for crowd control, military use, aviation security and other situations where traditional handcuffs are not practical or desirable. The tri-fold straps are extra wide, have smooth edges for safety, and pass through a fully enclosed ratchet block with a washer guard to prevent pullout. The strap can be tightened quickly and safely using the included pull ring or the optional extra-long pull cord. Once tightened, squeezing the secondary compression lock buttons provides additional security. After application, the tri-folds must be cut off - our optional Scarab Cutter is recommended for quick and safe removal.

The latest generation of Tri-Folds contain a new polymer formulation - perfected after over a hundred prototypes - that will not dry out or become brittle, giving them greater strength and longer durability. Tri-folds are available in black or yellow color, as well as a red training version that can be applied and removed repeatedly without having to be cut.
